Some designers start with the drawing. Luiz Bossardi started with the process.
For years, he followed product development inside Morada Decor before signing his own projects.
During that period, he learned to observe what usually remains invisible: how an idea traverses engineering, meets wood, passes through the hands of production, and only then transforms into a piece of furniture.
That trajectory ended up shaping his creative process. Luiz's designs rarely stem from an isolated gesture; they emerge from the relationship between structure, manufacturing, and use, as if each decision naturally had to justify the next.
Design does not seek to impose solutions; it organizes possibilities.
Perhaps that is Luiz's most singular contribution to Morada: belonging to a generation of designers who understand that designing is not just about imagining new objects, but deeply understanding how they come into being.
THE KNOT THAT BECAME THE CENTER OF THE DESIGN
It is this process-driven perspective that shapes the Nodus Chair, a release presented by Morada Decor at ABIMAD'42.
The piece is born from an intimate understanding of the factory floor, where solid precision woodworking becomes its very visual signature.
Its name, from the Latin nodus (knot), conveys the central idea of the project: connection.
Every chair must resolve the connection between seat, backrest, and frame, and in the Nodus, that connection was not hidden, but became the heart of the project.
The wood extends and wraps around the upholstery with a rounded finish, evoking a visible knot that reveals the piece's constructive logic.
Understated at first glance, memorable in detail, Nodus is perfect for dining arrangements seeking sophistication without visual weight.
ENGINEERING AS A CO-PROTAGONIST
Luiz Bossardi's engineering background never takes center stage in his designs; it operates more quietly, guiding proportions, simplifying construction, and bridging intent with the final result.
Today, his products are part of Morada Decor's creative evolution and have already gained international recognition, reaffirming a simple truth: great designs are not born from good ideas alone, but from the ability to turn them into reality without losing their essence.
By joining the collection presented at ABIMAD'42 alongside the Pergaminho Chair, the Yin Armchair, and the Coro Armchair, Nodus reinforces that the most enduring design is born from discernment, not haste.
